Team Overview:

This role would join the growing global based Release Management team where the successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced and exciting environment using the latest technologies. You will be comfortable "Rolling up your sleeves" working and leading GAN towards an agile and creative development environment on a wide variety of exciting products and features, reacting to constantly evolving and rapidly expanding market.

Job Purpose:

GAN is growing. We operate more websites on more hardware, run a games studio on the verge of factory-line output, produce ever more products for our players, serve hundreds of games from 3rd party integrations, and deliver ad-hoc development requests for our partners.

GAN is looking for someone to join the team to control code releases through our development environments using defined processes. You will be responsible for coordinating activities, working closely with a variety of stakeholders to plan, track and manage releases. We need someone with a keen mind to synchronize the release of the code of GAN’s many project teams’ into sensible packages through our environments, and then report on it. 

Description of Job Responsibilities:

You will …

  • Organize and manage code releases.
  • Schedule sprint, mid-sprint, and emergency releases.
  • Control the change process.
  • Create Jira dashboards to show and report on the status of each project, and each environment.
  • Plan, track, manage risk, evaluate and communicate status on software releases.
  • Work closely with geographically distributed teams.
  • Manage risks that might affect release schedules.
  • Monitor execution and provide updates to internal stakeholders on release milestones.
  • Drive on-going process improvements based on lessons learned.
  • Identify and innovate in areas where manual work can be automated
  • Collate the status reports.

The following skills will be necessary to excel in this role

  • Strong organization and reporting
  • Excellent English, spoken and written
  • Maintaining documentation (reports, manuals, release notes)
  • Experience resolving risk around code release
  • Ability to review release readiness reviews and identify ways to improve production
  • Managing, Coordinating and Scheduling all emergency release
  • Ability to communicate with Stakeholders and Clients
  • Experience with Jira, release management or project tracking software
  • Previous experience in an IT development environment
  • Proficient with Smart Sheets 

The following skills will be beneficial

  • 2-3 years experience with resolving risk around coding
  • Experience working with Confluence 
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including using the same brand stylesheets across all documentation types

Travel Requirements:

This role may require occasional travel to other GAN offices.
