Company Overview:

GAN was created in 2002 and initially provided real-money and free-to-play products for some of the biggest gambling operators within Europe. However, in 2012, we pivoted our strategy to focus on the US and were one of the first companies to supply games, technology, and other services to licensed casino operators across multiple States. In 2018 the US Supreme Court ruled to lift ‘PASPA’ and allow individual states to permit and regulate legal sportsbetting, for both retail and online/mobile. Since then, 21 States have legalized sports wagering, with many more likely to follow in 2021 and beyond, with over $25 billion legally wagered so far. GAN has been at the heart of this success, powering many of the biggest names in US wagering and casinos. 

In 2020, GAN acquired Estonian-based online bookmaker Coolbet ( and is now in the process of integrating its industry-leading sportsbetting platform to make these services available to current and future GAN clients. Coolbet’s B2B sportsbetting platform will be a ground-breaking addition to our existing B2B casino services and will continue GAN’s strategy of providing best-in-breed products, that have Responsible Gambling at their core.

GAN is now listed on the NASDAQ and has over 500 employees across 5 countries. We have an exciting future ahead and our new sportsbetting B2B platform, for retail and online/mobile, will be at the centre of our expansion.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Senior Director of Retail Sportsbook to join our growing team, to focus on creating, managing, and implementing retail sportsbetting solutions for US B2B clients. This key role will involve working with both internal and external teams to create customer-centric propositions for the newly regulated sportsbetting market. This role will take ownership of our sportsbook solutions for retail operators, working in partnership with other senior team members.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

Create and understand the scope and issues surrounding build out, launch, and operation of US retail sportsbooks within a casino property environment

  • Understand the landscape for retail sportsbetting in the US including the changing requirements of regulations, operators and consumers
  • Competitive analysis of existing GAN competitors and new entrants into the marketplace
  • Develop a collaborative and growing team that will put GAN at the forefront of retail sportsbetting technology and services
  • Alongside other GAN leaders, own the retail sportsbetting roadmap
  • Collaborate with internal and external cross functional teams (marketing, design, engineering, and operational) for successful product deliveries and launches
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Sales team to secure new long-term agreements with operators, acting as the retail sportsbook sales lead for sales pitches and follow ups
  • Manage relationships with current and future retail sportsbetting clients
  • Problem-solve internal and external challenges, both pre-launch and live
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers
  • Own the vision of industry-leading retail sportsbook technology and operations to fulfil GAN’s corporate objectives
  • Be the ‘retail sportsbetting champion’ and the go-to person for all matters relating to US retail sportsbetting within GAN


We are looking for a senior, experienced leader who is willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and quality technical implementations. We are looking for someone to truly own the vision of what GAN will create and supply to the burgeoning US retail sportsbetting marketplace and ensure that GAN is always satisfying customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of delivering retail sportsbook/gaming related projects, particularly within the US
  • 5+ years interactive sportsbetting or gaming experience preferred; with at least 2 years of B2B sales experience
  • Understanding of how retail software and hardware are developed and managed, including all aspects relating to OTC wagering
  • Bachelor's degree or further strongly preferred
  • Led a multi-skilled, multi-location team including project managers, product managers, developers & regulators
  • Proven track record of delivering technically complex and innovative products
  • Commercially astute with an ability to understand the needs of differing casino clients
  • Experience of mentoring and managing multi-tiered and functional teams, based across the globe
  • Good relationship manager and negotiator, able to build long-term agreements with business stakeholders
  • Ability to track, report and evaluate industry information to the senior leadership team
  • Strong communication skills and experience influencing both senior leadership teams and peers
  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects while effectively balancing scope, resourcing, time, and quality
  • Strong emotional IQ (EQ) and demonstrated ability to create relationships with new people quickly and easily and manage those relationships effectively over time
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Confident, strategic thinker, with the ability to plan strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution
  • Strong presentations skills
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to various Client corporate cultures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for sports betting content and analytics

GAN operates in a highly regulated environment, and candidate may be required to obtain an occupational gaming license in one or more U.S. states, which includes an application of personal data, a criminal and credit check, and fingerprints.  GAN will cover all costs and provide access to an Identity Protection program.

Travel Requirements:

This role will ideally be home-based in the GAN Las Vegas, NV office and will be partnering with our Coolbet team in Tallinn, Estonia. GAN has offices in Irvine, CA; London, UK; Tel Aviv, Israel; and Sofia, Bulgaria and Coolbet has offices in Estonia and Norway. This role will be interacting with team members throughout all of GAN’s and Coolbet’s locations, as well as ongoing communication with GAN clients and suppliers.

Post-COVID, this role requires up to 50% of travel in the US. This role will require some international travel.  Candidate must have and maintain an active passport.
