Team Overview:

This role would join the growing global based team where the successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced and exciting environment using the latest technologies. You will be comfortable working within an agile and creative development environment on a wide variety of exciting products and features, reacting to constantly evolving and rapidly expanding market.


Job Purpose:

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. You will work directly with key stakeholders and closely with cross-functional development teams to deliver world-class software, meeting the highest standards of technical certification. You must be familiar with all the policies, procedures and technical issues related to software development cycle. You will manage the activities of cross-functional software engineering team. This will involve working with technical colleagues, project managers and business owners to develop and maintain complex third-party integrations across all tech channels (web, apps, back office). The successful candidate is expected to take ownership of development tasks and provide estimates and documentation for the chosen solution. Support will form part of the responsibilities and will involve liaising with internal personnel to help investigate and resolve issues.


As a Technical Delivery Manager, you'll drive the technical product road map alongside the product team, provide guidance and support, break down and refine features to provide high level estimates and ensure architectural and non-functional requirements are captured as well as mentoring members of the team.


Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Owns solution delivery and ultimately responsible for development project leadership, management and quality
  • Delivery of product outcomes spanning multiple teams and be able to act decisively to meet tight deadlines
  • Aligning priorities across teams and managing the delivery plans within and across product teams
  • Looking for ways to reduce or remove dependencies, making team(s) as self-sufficient as possible
  • Manage business requirements and scope on a technical level, and coordinate between cross-functional teams to ensure product adherence to business requirements and architectural direction
  • Ensure all requirements meets Definition of Ready before allocating them into sprints
  • Promote and ensure the correct grooming of user stories
  • Ensure correct technical documentation and handover of products delivered
  • Ensure that all development activity is broken into epics, stories and tasks and documented in JIRA which are clearly understandable to Developers and QAs and can be tracked and monitored
  • Ensure all code produce meets the Definition of Done
  • Be the representative of the Software Development Team, providing daily RAG status feedback to business
  • Own the capacity and velocity of the cross-functional engineering team
  • Leading and Influencing software engineers
  • Building and maintaining sound relationships with all project managers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage metrics, conflict, and ensuring the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently
  • Ensure agile ceremonies such sprint planning, stand-ups reviews and retrospectives provides the outcome desired
  • Overseeing the creation of a backlog of prioritised and refined user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Working closely with programme leadership to monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies
  • Distributing release communications and status updates to users and stakeholders and providing insight on predicted and actual velocity and estimates from product teams.

  • Good leadership experience, at individual team level and working across global teams and organisational boundaries
  • Able to deal with ambiguity
  • Previous experience managing dependencies on internal Functions to drive delivery, eg Compliance, IT Developers, IT Support teams, IT Security and IT
  • Attention to detail

  • Experience in Agile environments
  • Business requirement elicitation and documentation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Software Development focused background
  • Previously worked as Software Engineer or Technical Lead in Java, Web or Mobile Technologies
  • Building and leading successful teams, recruiting the right people, and retaining them through creating a great collaborative environment and a focus on personal development
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience;
  • Agile and RFP experience is essential as you will be the point of contact between internal and external technical teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Strong emotional IQ (EQ) and demonstrated ability to create relationships with new people quickly and easily and manage those relationships effectively over time
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through


Travel Requirements:

This role may require some travel to other GAN offices.
