Team Overview:

The GAN Compliance team consists of the CLO and Corporate Secretary, the SVP, Gaming Compliance, VP, Gaming Compliance (United States); Director, Gaming Compliance (London); 3 Managers, Compliance, (United States, London, and Sofia, Bulgaria); a Sr. Compliance Analyst (Las Vegas), Compliance Analyst (Sofia), and three Licensing Analysts (Las Vegas). This team covers all gaming compliance-related activity for GAN.

 Job Purpose:

The current Compliance team consists of the Director, Gaming Compliance, located in London, as well as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer, also located in London. This team covers all compliance related activity for GAN.

 Reporting to the Director, Gaming Compliance, you will develop an in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements within the online gambling industry, and will undertake a variety of tasks including: reviewing and understanding jurisdictional regulations, assisting in the planning of activities to ensure compliance activities are delivered in a timely manner, maintaining records of certifications and audits, reporting compliance requirements and updates to the different business departments, and reviewing/responding to questions and concerns from online gambling regulators.

 Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable technical regulatory requirements and make this information available to the Compliance team, and the Product, Tech, Operations, and Customer Success teams.
  • Ensure Compliance checks have been carried out and adequate submission materials have been collected.
  • Oversee the management and tracking of and confirm appropriate resolution of software and potential regulatory issues, as identified internally or by customers, regulators, 3rd party test labs, or otherwise externally. 
  • Create and maintain reports of all software and potential regulatory issues relating to the product and operations, for the Compliance team.
  • Work with test labs and appropriate Java team members to coordinate supervised build and deployments of games into test environment.
  • Liaise with Project Managers to report on status of Compliance projects to key stakeholders
  • Help draft and maintain internal compliance documentation including compliance-related test scripts, Internal Control requirements and submission materials.
  • Liaise with Online Gambling casino regulators and Compliance stakeholders to maintain day-to-day change management compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic about their job. They must also have the following qualities:

  • At least 5 years’ experience working with gaming regulations in recognized regulated gambling markets (United Kingdom, Gibraltary, Alderney, Malta, Sweden, and/or the United States)
  • Experience in working with U.S. online gaming regulations is a major plus.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with obtaining certification of software platforms and/or games for regulated gaming jurisdictions.
  • A genuine desire to help guide the company forward by interpreting regulatory constraints and finding efficient methods to establish and maintain compliance. The must be pro-active, pragmatic and communicative. They should also have the following qualities:
  • Must be detail- and quality-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Well organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of the gambling industry and game rules a necessity
  • Experience with Internet Gaming Compliance in regulated US online states like NJ and PA a major plus
  • Knowledge of online privacy and data protection requirements a plus
  • Exposure to gaming technologies (Flash, HTML5, Java) a plus
  • Understanding of mobile technologies (iOS, Android, HTML5) a plus
  • Experience with software QA testing a plus
  • Experience with Jira, or other issue tracking software a plus

Travel Requirements:

This role may require a small amount of travel to our offices or to customer locations.
