Network Engineer

Team Overview:

This role would join the Infrastructure team where the successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic, fast paced and exciting environment using the latest technologies.  You will be comfortable in working within an agile and creative technology environment on a wide variety of exciting products and features, reacting to constantly evolving and rapidly expanding market.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of IT Platform and Security. This role will provide network design, implementation and maintenance support. This will involve full network infrastructure support. 

 

Job Purpose:

As a Network Engineer with Linux administer capability, you will be responsible for maintaining the network at the data centres, providing 3rd line support to customers and delivering network related projects. This position will suit an individual with an interest and aptitude to learn new technologies to enhance data centre solutions and operations.

Excellent written and spoken English is critical as you will be required to communicate with colleagues, line managers and occasionally large multinational clients.

 

Description of Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Strong background in network design, implementation and management
  • Significant network and security experience covering LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls
  • CCNP (JNCIP-SEC Desirable)
  • Mandatory experience with Juniper appliances, SRX, SSG and EX series (JunOS and Netscreen OS)
  • Cisco firepower, Fortinet fortigate experience will considered an advantage
  • Understanding of storage networks
  • This position would be a hybrid figure, able to wear multiple hats (network engineer, system administrator, etc)
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:    

  • Experience in the following:
    • TCP-IP
    • Routing and switching
    • IP Telephony
    • Ethernet switching
    • LAN and WAN
    • Wireless networking
    • IP Telephony
    • IT Security and Firewall technologies (Fortinet/Juniper/Cisco)
    • Linux server administration (RHEL, Debian, CentOS)
    • The ability to contribute ideas and solutions which will make a real difference to this fast-growing business in the exciting and evolving US gaming market
    • Experience working in small teams, using agile methods
    • Results driven, assertive and independent
    • Proven experience of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced team whilst supporting others and self-managing workload within defined priorities
    • Excellent communication skills

 

 

Travel Requirements:

Domestic travel may be required from time to time.
