Department Overview:

The Legal & Compliance Department currently consists of 7 employees (one legal employee, four compliance employees, and 2 gaming license employees). The department is expected to expand in 2021 to 10+ employees. The Legal & Compliance Department oversees all legal, compliance and gaming license matters related to GAN Limited and it’s group of subsidiaries.

Job Purpose:

This position will be responsible for supporting the CLO on a variety of corporate-related matters, including organizing documents and policies in an online space such as (Confluence or Sharepoint), maintaining, tracking and filing various documents related to contracts and projects, organizing and coordinating Board meetings or travel arrangements, and communicating internally and externally. Note that, although this EA position reports to the Chief Legal Officer, it is not a prerequisite that the candidate have prior legal experience, such as experience as a paralegal. In addition to supporting the CLO, periodically the EA would need to support the CFO and VP of Compliance on various administrative tasks.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist on a variety of corporate legal issues, transactions, projects and initiatives.
  • Be familiar with online collaboration spaces such as Google drive, Confluence, etc.
  • Manage online internal collaboration spaces so that contract templates, policies and other resources are published internally to employees.
  • Create/organize and maintain online databases of confidential documents, including corporate books and records.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization and delivery of materials for Board and Board Committee meetings and the annual stockholder meeting
  • Prepare corporate documents (using templates in most cases) such as Board and shareholder minutes, consents, and resolutions.
  • Assist with documents containing highly confidential information
  • Perform administrative support, such as calendar management, organizing meetings, travel arrangements, and the like
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including administrative support for CFO

 Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant, or as a Legal Assistant in a large law firm or corporate setting
  • Expertise in MS Word, Adobe PDF, and experience or familiarity with online intranet platforms and collaboration spaces, such as Confluence, Sharepoint or Google drive.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and matters comprehensively and with great attention to detail in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to analyze information and write succinctly and directly (for example preparing official board minutes from attorney notes)
  • Team player with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities
  • Strong emotional IQ (EQ) and demonstrated ability to create relationships with new people quickly and easily and manage those relationships effectively over time
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented
  • Confident and proactive
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt to various Client corporate cultures

GAN operates in a highly regulated environment, and candidate may be required to obtain an occupational gaming license in one or more U.S. states, which includes an application of personal data, a criminal and credit check, and fingerprints.  GAN will cover all costs and provide access to an Identify Protection program.
