Sports Trader
GAN is seeking a proactive, self-starting Sports Trader to join its global sportsbook team. As the U.S. sports subject matter expert, the Sports Trader will oversee betting markets, provide industry insights, and help enhance the overall sportsbook offering. In this role, you will launch and monitor betting markets, leverage analytics to respond to real-time events, identify pricing opportunities during live games, and adjust lines and odds based on market activity to effectively manage risk. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance and drive business results. Additionally, you will serve as a key sportsbook liaison to U.S. business partners — handling inquiries, delivering platform training, and providing onsite support during major sporting events. This role may also require participation in global shift coverage to support ongoing sportsbook operations and risk management.
Core responsibilities
Being responsible for betting markets and developing and implementing enticing and accurate pricing for sporting events based in North America. Launching and maintaining markets on the company’s platform.
Following pre-game activity to understand odds, monitoring activity in real time, and adjusting pricing, odds/lines, and bet types to ensure optimal market positioning and risk management.
Ensuring correct and timely resulting of events.
Ensuring that all pricing decisions are complying with U.S. state-specific gaming regulations and the client's internal policies.
Reporting and flagging abnormal activity and risks in real time to Sportsbook management.
When directed, taking part in global Sportsbook shifts, which may include resulting manual markets and/or answering customer service sportsbook requests.
Serving as a key point of contact for sportsbook-related inquiries from U.S. business partners. Activities may include providing on-site support to partners during sporting events, training partner traders on how to utilize the trading platform, collecting partner feedback on the sportsbook product, and participating in partner meetings to understand product requests.
This position may be requiring work to be performed on-premise with the client. This work may be happening on an ad hoc basis and at short notice as it is depending on sporting events, team needs, and client needs.
Experience and key competencies
Minimum of 5 years of experience in odds management and event settlement within a sportsbook.
Practical experience in trading and risk management techniques for multiple sports and betting environments.
Deep understanding of U.S. sports, sports betting, and U.S. player behaviors with a strong grasp of market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor landscapes.
Experience in working with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.
You are flexible and adaptable to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Strong emotional IQ (EQ) and demonstrated ability to create relationships with new people quickly and easily and manage those relationships effectively over time.
You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
You are self-motivated and solution-oriented. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Confident, strategic thinker, with the ability to plan strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution.

You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex trading insights and market data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Passion for sports betting content and analytics.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires a high level of interaction with clients throughout the United States (primarily in Nevada).

The range for this role is $60,000 to $72,000. Compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; this position does not qualify for bonuses.
