Accounting Supervisor
Lead key accounting operations, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive financial accuracy and process improvements in a fast-paced, global organization.
Join our Finance team as an Accounting Supervisor. In this role, you'll partner closely with the Global Controller to support the commercial and operational accounting functions of our global B2B business. With a primary focus on revenue recognition, cost of sales, and financial reporting, you'll collaborate across Finance, Sales, and Client Success to ensure the accuracy and integrity of key financial processes.
You'll also provide oversight and guidance to our shared services teams in Costa Rica and Estonia, reviewing financial transactions, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements. Core responsibilities
Oversee key general accounting functions, including accounts receivable, sales invoicing, revenue recognition, royalties, and cost of sales.
Lead the transactional month-end close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries.
Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Take ownership of revenue accounting and sales invoicing, ensuring revenues and cost of sales are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards.
Review month-end financial results, identify discrepancies, and recommend or implement necessary corrections.
Prepare and review variance analyses for profit and loss accounts, providing meaningful insights into financial performance.
Ensure accounting processes and procedures are consistently followed and remain compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
Support quarterly reviews, year-end financial audits, and annual internal control audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Partner closely with the Client Success, Sales, and Development teams to support business operations and provide financial guidance.
Evaluate existing accounting processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
Collaborate with shared services teams and cross-functional stakeholders to improve reporting and streamline financial operations.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Experience and key competencies
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Qualified accountant with 5+ years of general accounting experience in an international or multinational organization.
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, U.S. GAAP, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Extensive experience managing the month-end close process, including journal entry review and approval.
Proven experience driving process improvements and implementing operational efficiencies.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects and deliverables.
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to quickly build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively across diverse teams and corporate cultures.
Preferred
CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365).
Experience working in a global or shared services environment.
Experience partnering with Sales, Client Success, or other commercial teams to support revenue operations and financial reporting.
Experience supporting external audits and internal control initiatives.

Compensation
Salary range: $79,000 - $99,000 annually; with final offer based on experience.
